Our Story

The Cathey's Valley Historical Society was established in 1995 with a passionate commitment to preserving our region's rich history. Our primary mission was to save the historic Cathey's Valley Schoolhouse, built in 1879. After years of dedicated effort, we successfully rescued this cherished landmark from demolition. Today, it stands proudly in Cathey's Valley Park, fully restored and vibrant with life.
